RPMC Visits Agri-Projects Before the Long Holiday Break

Before the onset of the  long holiday break, the RDC-RPMC Project Monitoring Team conducted its last leg of Field Monitoring Visit for DA on-going and completed projects in the province of Cagayan last December 10 and 11, 2014. The team was composed by representatives from the Philippine Information Agency and National Economic & Dev’t Authoriy, and assisted by staff from Department of Agriculture and Office of the Provincial Agriculture as the proponents/implementor.  Projects visited were two (2) Farm to Market Roads (FMR) projects in Aparri, two Small Water Impounding Projects (SWIP) in Allacapan and Piat, and a Diversion Dam in Enrile.

205 Cagayano Farmers to Benefit from New Irrigation Facilities

Two Small Water Impounding Projects, the San Juan-Silagan SWIP in Ballesteros and Gumarueng SWIP in Piat, both in Cagayan Province have completed its Phase 1 implementation within the last quarter of the year.  These projects involve the construction of a ten-meter earth embankment, outlet and canal facilities to provide irrigation to farmlands in the said municipalities.

The RDC2-RPMC Project Monitoring team conducted the on-site visit of these two projects last December 10 and 11, 2014.  The purpose of the monitoring visit was to validate the project physical progress and accomplishment based on submitted reports to the RPMC Secretariat as input to the RPMES Report prepared on a quarterly basis.


ARISP III Sub-Infrastructure Projects In Nueva Vizcaya Successfully Implemented

In a joint Field Monitoring Visit conducted by the RDC2-RPMC Project Monitoring Team together with the NEDA Central Office –Monitoring and Evaluation Staffs, the team witnessed the successful implementation of the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project (ARISP) III in the Municipalities of Dupax del Sur and del Norte, both in the province of Nueva Vizcaya.

The ARISP III is a 6-year foreign-assisted project aimed at addressing rural poverty in Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs) and key constraints in agricultural production areas through demand-driven integrated area development.

NEDA R02 Conducts Orientation on Results Monitoring and Evaluation (RME)

Tuguegarao City - The Project Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED) of NEDA R02 being the Secretariat of the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) conducted a 2-day Orientation on Results Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) participated in by the RPMC members of Region 02and its Project Monitoring Team.  The orientation was conducted on November 27-28, 2014 at the Pamegafanan Hall, NEDA Bldg.,  Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City.


RPMC-PMT and NEDA-MES conducted a Joint Field Monitoring Visit to major programs and projects implemented in the Province of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya

Tuguegarao City - The RPMC-Project Monitoring Team together with the Monitoring and Evaluation Staff (MES) of NEDA Central Office conducted a joint Field Monitoring Visit (FMV) to major programs and projects implemented in the Provinces of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya on September 17-19, 2014.   The recently conducted FMV during the third quarter of 2014 is a regular activity of the RPMC-PMT based on the approved CY 2014 Monitoring Plan.

The major programs and projects visited are as follows: a) Provincial Programs and Projects implemented by the Province of Quirino; b) Solano Rural Health Unit under the Health Sector Reform Agenda; c) Mila and Palabotan Agrarian Reform Community (ARC) under the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project, Phase III (ARISP III); and d) Colocol Integrated Communal Irrigation System I, both in the province of Nueva Vizcaya.

Southern Isabela Hospital seeks level II classification

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, June 7 (PIA) – After its total renovation, the Southern Isabela General Hospital (SIGH) is now eyeing to get the Level II classification and increase its bed capacity from 50 to 150.

 Rhine Rene Dulluog, General Services Officer, said that with the renovation, the SIGH has been transformed into a modern hospital through the help of the Department of Health’s Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP).


Southern Isabela General Hospital undergoes facelift

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, June 7 (PIA) - - The Southern Isabela General Hospital (SIGH) has undergone a major make-over after the Department of Health (DOH) allocated a total of P246.96 million for the construction of a five-storey building.

 Rhine Rene Dulluog, General Services Officer, said that they catered to patients even under the trees and at the corridors of the old dilapidated hospital for several years just to accommodate the growing number of patients here.
